Please note that the dimensions below are approximate and there are some variations due to the different configurations available from the vehicle manufacturers. Pallet capacity is based on a standard UK pallet which is 120cm x 120cm.
Small Van
For a small van think of a car sized van. Can take 1 pallet but bear in mind the height limit. Great for small loads of light parcels.

For vans this size and upwards, the height increases markedly and there is usually the added advantage of a side door as well as the rear doors. This makes it easier for maneuvering heavier items.

Luton Van
Lutons, or box vans, offer a step up in capacity and flexibility. A greater width and height is available plus there are options for curtain-side and tail-lifts. This increases the range of items that can be loaded as you are not necessarily limited by the door width.

7.5 Tonne Lorry
First of the fixed wheel lorry sizes with a significant step in the pallet capacity. Please note that the truck ranges are referred to by their total fully loaded weight and this does not represent their carrying capacity. Take note of the capacities as outlined below each one. Versions with tail-lifts have to take slightly lower loads as the tail-lifts are heavy and contribute to the empty weight.

Similar to the way the vans increase in capacity, the trucks only really increase in length allowing 2 additional pallets on each step up. Most in this range are curtain sided so are great for oversized loads.
